CRUSH was formed in late 2006. Crush grew out of an acoustic duo named "The Rockin Acoustic Duo" featuring Brian Cagle on Lead Vocals, Guitar
and Bass and Jeff Goebel on Guitar and Background Vocals. After much urging by Jeff, R.A.D. added a Drummer.. Rob Nelson and thus formed the
first incarnation of CRUSH. In a matter of months CRUSH was gaining speed and the demand became too much for Brian, who then left the band. A
new Bass Player ..Jeremy Sharp was added and Rob picked up Lead Vocal Duties for short period as they searched for a new singer. They then found
Rush Rushton and version 2 of CRUSH was ready to rock. After almost 2 years in the second incarnation, CRUSH became one of the most popular
cover bands in Huntsville doing almost 200 shows in that two year period. This earned CRUSH the #2 best overall band in Huntsville spot as voted
on by readers of The Valley Planet in 2008. After that, CRUSH made the front page of The Huntsville Times and was featured in Hot Stuff Magazine. At
the end of 2009 Rush Rushton decided to leave the band as did Rob Nelson. Jeff and Jeremy decided to carry on with CRUSH and they then brought
onboard Spike Cleghorn from "U4IA" to take over the Lead Vocal duties and Donnie Pylant from "Blackeyed Susan" to take over on Drums. The 3rd
version of CRUSH was now born. In 2010, CRUSH reinvented itself and at the same time kept the legacy and the fantastic set list intact, even adding
more great songs to the already great variety of material. At the end of 2010 CRUSH partnered up with Blackeyed Susan for a giant New Years Show at
The Station in Madison, It was a great success. It was a true example of how great it can be when two bands work so closely together to help create a
quality live show. Now into 2011, CRUSH's 5th year, they have added Jay Balcerek, formerly of the band "Backwater" on Drums. So far for 2011,
CRUSH is pre-booked for 30+ shows over the next 12 months. CRUSH has averaged 70-80 shows a year for the last 3 years and continues to be one of
most booked bands in The Huntsville area. In Addition to the frequency of bookings, 8 local venues currently book CRUSH on a regular basis. Now
as 2011 draws to a end, CRUSH powers forward with a solid line up and even more plans to expand our set lists and musical depth for 2012. Booking
has already begun and we will frequent The Station and The Hard Dock next year, both have confirmed us for the entire year already! Stay tuned!!
