My 1990 ESP Custom Shop George Lynch Kamikaze.
George Lynch was one of my biggest influences and
this guitar was loud and proud and was so 80's I had
to have it. The maple body is extremely heavy and the
neck is a awesome piece of maple with a even better
ebony board. I had the stock bridge pickup, a Duncan
Distortion replaced with a JB at the factory. I really
prefer JB. The front pickup is the stock SSL pickup.

This is a great sounding and somewhat hard to play
guitar because of it's weight and the neck width, even
so this guitar is a icon of Rock and Roll guitar and I
still enjoy owning it today.
My 1991 ESP Custom Parts George Lynch Kamikaze.
After owning the florescent above for awhile I really
started to feel like I should put it up and not beat it to
death at live shows. I also felt, that while it was a cool
guitar that If I could modify it a bit it would be a better
fitting guitar for me. At this point I was working at
Music Alley in Birmingham and I was working closely
with ESP since we were a dealer for their guitars at that
point. I had been talking with them about building my
own thrasher parts Kamikaze and I had already
ordered the body when the really cool maple neck
came available with black skull and cross bone inlays.
The neck was a standard strat width which fit my hand
better and the body is a much lighter alder wood.

I installed the newly released.. at the time.. Screaming
Demon pickup in the bridge and the SSL in the neck. I
got an old Floyd Rose off a Kramer we parted out at
the store and had the body painted this cobalt blue
color by Gallant guitars.

Recently I took it to be signed by George Lynch in
person and he asked me if it was a Charvel!  I Told him
it was a Kamikaze and I guess he was wondering I
guess how I ended up with this, so I told him about my
dealership with ESP and that these were parts I
collected from his contacts at ESP. He seem surprised
and I'm not sure if ESP was suppose to be doing this,
but in that case my guitar is even more rare and one of
a kind.

This guitar sounds awesome!! I used it for almost 10
years consistently and still have it today.
My 1991 Yamaha Jeff Goebel Model!  In 1991 I won a
sales contest for Yamaha Guitars and was given one
of the coolest prizes ever, my very own custom shop
model. Yamaha flew me out to Hollywood twice to
meet with the famous guitar designer of the stars
Rich Lasner who was responsible for Steve Vai and
Joe Satriani's  guitars when he was chief guitar
designer at Ibanez. In fact the first production 7
string guitar was his idea while at Ibanez.

Rich and I met for a couple hours and went threw my
ideas for the ultimate guitar of my dreams. My first
crazy idea was a 12 string / 7string double neck.
After talking it over with Rich and thinking about
what I would really play, I decided to just to build a
really cool premium 6 string guitar with some really
awesome features that included a Yngwie
Malmsteen inspired partial scalloped ebony neck.
The PurpleBurst color came from a Eddie Van Halen
Music Man photo sample I brought with me. The
pickup layout is the same as the Kamikaze's above
with a JB in the Bridge and a SSL in the neck and a
reverse headstock with quilt veneer.

We did a coil tap on the rear Humbucker that allows
5 sounds from 2 pickups. We put in a push push pot
for pickup selection from the rear to front pickup and
there is also a standard 5 position Strat switch. The
tone nob can be pushed to activate LEDs is the
fretboard for dark stage situations. The body is 3
piece, 1 piece of alder sandwiched between 2 pieces
of quilted maple that I picked out of a raw wood pile.
The neck is a awesome piece of Birdseye I picked
out of raw plank as well at the Yamaha Guitar
Development  Wood Shop. The Floyd is a Schaller
Floyd.

During my second trip we did neck shaping and my
Dad tagged along, He scheduled some business
and we stayed a couple extra days and did some
sightseeing together.

We even went to the Sunset Strip and he bought our
way into a sold out show at the Whiskey a Go Go to
see Lita Ford during her peak. Then afterward we
went to the Rainbow and hung out with Lemmy from
Motorhead! HAHA!

It was a awesome experience and I was glad to
share a dream come true with my Dad.
My 1991 Yngwie Malmsteen Stratocaster
I no longer own this guitar because as you
will find later, I now own a actual Yngwie
owned guitar. I traded this mint 1991 Yngwie
Strat for it, along with some cash of course.
The Yngwie Owned Strat in a mutant Strat...it
actually has a Schecter neck...which actually
feels much better than this guitars neck did.
The 1991 had the small headstock as
opposed to the new ones having the 70's
style big headstock. While I liked this guitar,
the Yngwie owned is on a whole other level
sound and playing wise. It was fairly easy to
let this one go because of what I was getting
in return. Yngwie Malmsteen has been one of
my top 5 influences since I started playing.
